Shadow Ridge SBA Award

BOZEMAN, Montana., February 2024

Congratulations to one of our newest board members, Elle Gahl, and her company, Shadow Ridge Analytics LLC (SRA) as they have been awarded a five-year, multimillion-dollar Regional Innovation Cluster Initiative contract by the U.S. Small Business Administration. SRA plans to establish a Regional Innovation Cluster, called the eidotech project that will enable the growth of Montana companies from concept to end product in quantum, photonics, and smart sensing technologies.

SRA is a local organization based in Belgrade, Montana and has had great success in advising both the private and federal sectors. Their impressive skill set includes technology commercialization and licensing, program and project management, economic and financial modeling, and federally funded research and development consulting, making SRA the perfect organization for the eidotech project. “The level of innovation in Montana is incredibly impressive. Our goal is to help our companies deliver unmatched products and services to the nation and accelerate Montana’s position as a global leader in technology development,” said Shadow Ridge Analytics President, Elle Gahl.

The eidotech project predicts that smart sensing will be integral to advancing technology worldwide in biophotonics, quantum information science and technology, artificial intelligence, and remote sensing. Knowing this, the eidotech project is determined to position Montana as a national smart-sensing industry leader. Their vision for success is bolstered by collaborating with Montana-based innovating stakeholders such as Montana State University (MSU) Optical Technology Center, MSU Innovation Campus, and the Montana Photonics and Quantum Alliance.

“The Optical Technology Center has a long-standing history of accelerating innovation with a global impact right here in Montana. We look forward to continuing that tradition with the Regional Innovation Cluster,” stated Joe Shaw, Director of MSU’s Optical Technology Center.

“The Innovation Campus looks forward to engaging with Shadow Ridge Analytics and all of the industry and government partners this effort will bring,” quoted Mark Sharpe, the Executive Director of MSU Innovation Campus.

“I am ecstatic at where we are at in the community and Shadow Ridge Analytics’ success with winning the award. I think, frankly, the stars are aligning,” said Jason Yager, Executive Director of the Montana Photonics and Quantum Alliance.

In advancing the Montana Photonics and Quantum mission, this project marks the continued success for our vision of a globally leading Montana photonics and quantum industry.
