Montana World Affairs Council

The Montana World Affairs Council is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering global awareness and understanding in Montana’s classrooms and communities. We are on a mission to provide opportunities to students, resources for teachers, and thought-provoking local events. 

The Council is honored to have a long-standing partnership with Montana Photonics and Quantum Alliance. We are grateful for their sponsorship and support of our annual EconoQuest Conference, a competition where high school students choose a Montana product to sell on the global market. During the conference, students meet with industry leaders about exciting career paths in Montana, including opportunities in photonics and quantum. Support from MPQA has allowed the program to be offered free of charge, ensuring every student in Montana has access regardless of budget constraints.
