MPQA’s PhotonIQ Grows Integrated Photonics Commercialization Team in Bozeman

BOZEMAN, Mont. — The Montana Photonics & Quantum Alliance’s PhotonIQ initiative is growing its integrated photonics product development capability in Bozeman and is recruiting a Project Lead to help lead customer projects from early technical requirements through development, testing, qualification and delivery.
The new position comes as PhotonIQ continues building the people, equipment and technical partnerships needed to help companies turn integrated photonics technologies into commercial products.
The Bozeman-based Project Leads will work at the intersection of photonics, systems engineering, project management, product development and advanced manufacturing. The position will work directly with customers and technical partners to coordinate projects and move promising technologies through the development and commercialization process.

MPQA leads the PhotonIQ effort as part of the broader strategy to strengthen Montana’s position in advanced photonics manufacturing and commercialization.
PhotonIQ is developing a globally competitive integrated photonics product development capability in Montana, combining specialized equipment, technical expertise and industry partnerships to support companies developing photonic integrated circuit products and related technologies.
The Project Lead will help translate customer needs into defined project requirements, schedules and technical work plans while coordinating development, testing, qualification and delivery across customers and technical partners.
The position is based in Bozeman, Montana, and requires in-person work. The salary range is $125,000 to $165,000.
PhotonIQ is seeking candidates with experience in technical project leadership, engineering, product development, or advanced manufacturing who are interested in helping build a new commercial integrated photonics capability in Montana.
