Qualification & Documentation Specialist

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Qualification and Documentation Specialist to support our development team by creating, organizing, and maintaining high-quality documentation as well as executing design qualification tests at the direction of engineering staff. This role will focus on establishing internal processes, writing clear work instructions, and supporting knowledge transfer across multiple departments. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a knack for turning complex information into easy-to-understand documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Develop, standardize, and maintain internal documentation including:
*Process workflows
*Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
*Work instructions for technical and non-technical tasks
*Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and project managers to capture and document evolving processes and systems.
*Assist in day-to-day project management.
*Help facilitate regular documentation processes.
*Identify documentation gaps and create strategies to close them.
*Manage a consistent version control and documentation management system.
*Ensure documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and follows established formatting and style guidelines.
*Create visual aids like flowcharts, diagrams, or screen captures to enhance understanding.
*Support cross-functional teams in implementing and maintaining best practices for knowledge management.
*Assist in process mapping and the rollout of new tools or procedures across the team.
*Assist in the design and execution of product design qualification testing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
*Experience in technical writing, process documentation, or a similar role
*Able to communicate effectively and the ability to work well with others in a team environment
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to translate complex technical processes into clear, concise, and user-friendly documents
*Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, and manuals
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Associate’s degree or higher in Physics, Engineering or an equivalent degree from a technical school in electronics or physical sciences
*Experience documenting technical workflows or working in a development, engineering, or product environment
*Knowledge of software applications such as Google Workspace, ERP, EWI, and CAD software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
*Ability to use fingers for both gross and fine manipulation
*Ability to reach at or below shoulder level with arms and seize, hold, & grasp objects
*Near visual acuity is required
*Ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
*Ability to push or pull objects
*Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
